She received the most fame and two Emmy nominations (in the category of “Best Supporting Actress”) for her participation in the music and comedy show Saturday Night Live (“Saturday Night Live”). In 2011, RETA, an animal rights activist, named her one of the sexiest vegetarian celebrities. A year later, Time magazine included her in the list of “100 most influential people in the world.”


The future star of the TV show was born on August 22, 1973, in the American city of Canandaigua, located 30 miles from Rochester and Lake Ontario, on the border with Canada. From her mother, Lori Johnston, an artist, and decorator, Kristen inherited English and Scottish roots. Through his father, John Wieg, owner of the lake berth for yachts – Norwegian and Irish. As a child, his father emigrated from Norway to the United States, grew up in Rochester, and worked for WROC-TV and WHEC-TV.

When the baby was 3 years old, the family moved to Lancaster, Pennsylvania, where the girl and her older brother Eric spent their childhood. In 1982, their parents divorced. In the City of Angels, the girl began her career in the field of film business with performances at the Empty Stage Comedy Theater (Comedy Theater “Empty Stage”), earning a living as a waitress. She then joined the comedy troupe The Groundlings.

In 2010, she starred in the melodramas “All the Best” with Ryan Gosling and Kirsten Dunst in the lead roles, “Mad Date” with Mark Wahlberg, Steve Carell, and Tina Faye.
